Mekyla Li is the Miss Asia USA 2025 titleholder and a psychology scholar at the University of London, recognized for her work at the intersection of global identity, representation, and impact.
Born to Chinese and South African parents and raised across three continents, she brings a uniquely global perspective to leadership, advocacy, and storytelling. Her work spans international pageantry, mentorship initiatives, and global forums, including participation in United Nations conferences.

A formative experience with mental illness within her family shaped Mekyla’s commitment to understanding the human mind and supporting those who feel unseen.
That experience led her to pursue psychology and dedicate her work to advocacy rooted in empathy, dignity, and ultimately connection.
Having traveled to more than twenty-six countries and through hands-on work in communities such as Zambia, Mekyla has witnessed the transformative power of mentorship, education, and simply being heard. These experiences continue to shape her approach which remains grounded in compassion and driven by impact.
Raised across cultures and continents, Mekyla represents a new generation of global leadership;
one that values identity as a strength and connection as a catalyst for change.
Her work bridges East and West, blending cultural understanding with modern platforms to foster inclusion, dialogue, and shared growth.
